Chapter 51: Lost In The Past

Maira was sitting in her apartment’s balcony, curled up on a cushioned chair, the gentle evening breeze brushing against her face. A steaming coffee mug rested in her hand, its warmth seeping into her fingers, while in the other she held her phone, its screen gone dark after she had stared at it long enough. It was Thursday evening, 5:00 pm. Lubna had given her two days off, and for once, she found herself at home in the quiet of her own space.
